Kearney and Haliv Family Fellowship Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies Johns Hopkins University
Established in 1999 by Tom Kearney, SAIS 1991 (M.A.), with preference given to students from the Ukraine and other countries of the former Soviet Union.

Ukrainian Medical Student Fellowship Program 
Two medical students from Ukraine per semester are selected to participate in a three month clinical rotation in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or in the Medical Subspecialties. Students must be from the National Medical University in Kyiv, the Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy, the Bukovinian Medical Academy, or the Lviv State Medical Academy. Students must be in their fifth or sixth year of medical school. Students are evaluated by a standardized test in medicine, their command of English, and their performance in interviews. Students are selected by independent project managers in Ukraine. Students should contact the administration of their medical school in Ukraine.

Scholarships in Canada

Marusia Yaworska Entrance Scholarship 
Scholarship for two graduate level students in music from Ukraine or Canada to study anywhere in the world. Two one-time awards of $5,000(Can) per year. Students must submit recordings. Deadline is March 31.

Alberta Ukrainian Centennial Commemorative Scholarship 
Two nonrenewable scholarships for one Ukrainian graduate student to study in Alberta and one Canadian graduate student from Alberta to study in Ukraine.

Scholarships in the United Kingdom

The Reuter Foundation Chevening Scholarships 
The successful applicant from Kazakhstan, Romania, or Ukraine or other eastern European country will win a full tuition, living allowance, and travel stipend for a MSc in the Political Economy of Transition in Europe at the London School of Economics (LSE). This scholarship requires admission to the LSE, a 500 word essay, an honors university degree from the home country, and a score of 600 on the TOEFL exam. The deadline for the application to the LSE and for the scholarship is May 1.

The Margaret Thatcher Scholars Scheme 
The Margaret Thatcher Scholarship Scheme supports Cambridge MBA students who are resident in Russia and citizens of a country of the former Soviet Union, with particular encouragement to Russian nationals. It provides an opportunity for the business leaders of tomorrow to gain a thorough business education in an international environment at a world-class university. The aim of the Scheme is to ensure that lessons learned in Cambridge and more broadly in Western Europe can be widely disseminated to future business leaders in Russia. They must have at least 3 years’ work experience in Russia or elsewhere in the former Soviet Union. They must have strong support from their current employer. They must have evidence of a career plan showing how they would use the skills and knowledge gained in the MBA course to develop their career within Russia. Applicants for the 2 year integrated program must have a work placement set up within a work organization.

British Government Chevening Scholarship Scheme: Open Competition 
The British Government is offering up to ten scholarships in eleven different academic primarily social science fields. Candidates must be citizens of Ukraine, have excellent written and spoken English, be under 35 years of age at the time of application, already have a first degree (Diploma of Specialist).
